Day 5 ~ Project 365

So typical!

This is my 8 year old brother, Kipsangi.  My husband and I have been raising him since he was 3.  One of the days I will explain more, but for now I will just say that my mom passed away unexpectedly and we have had this little guy ever since!  He makes me crazy some days, but I love this kid so very much! :)

I have lived in Indiana my entire life.  With that said, one would think that I would be used to snow...but I am not.  I hate being cold!  I can appreciate its beauty though.  I love how pretty everything looks just after it snows.  The world seems much simpler, much more innocent and that I can appreciate.

I will leave you this chilly, January day with a pop of color.

Project 365 ( well, uh...366)

I want to continue to grow as a photographer.  Because of that, I am taking the project 365 challenge in 2012.  Each day I will post a photo.  I hope you'll give feedback along the way.

So I as sit here on New Year's Eve awaiting the ball drop, I stumbled upon Crave Photography's facebook page.  She is awesome!!

She is also having an AWESOME giveaway...and who doesn't LOVE giveaways?!?  Crave Photography reached 25,000 fans on facebook...that's insane!   I can only hope to be there one day (and I am determined to make it)!
